Untitled #23 (Old School) is going to set your cardboard on FIRE with continious back spins and some rock solid b-boyin this Friday night, July 31st.

You do know about the DAM’s Untitled series, right?

Untitled events keep the museum open late, showcases the “wicked awesome” creatives in Denver, always brings the rock with house DJs, typically involves a cash bar, and generally goes about having one killer art party.

The next event looks like a crow pleaser:

The Design Council presents the fifth annual Design After Dark: Versus gala.

Some of Colorado’s most talented artists and designers collobrate to raise funds for The Department of Architectre, Design & Graphics at the Denver Art Museum.

Dozens of facinating objects have been created – for auction! – each inspired by an object from the AD&G collection paired with a quote about opposites.

Destroy the evening with a silent auction, punctuated by a mouth-watering menu and a tag-team of dynamite DJs. Dress to kill and come drop some coin on some one-of-a-kind culture.

This storied gala is this Friday, Jan. 30, from 7:00 pm – Midnight at the Redline Gallery in Denver, Colorado.

See you there with all the beautiful people.

For more info: All proceeds benefit the museum. Tickets are $40 (for the 35-and-under crowd, with ID), $50 (museum members), and $60 for the unaffiliated. Available at www.blacktie-colorado.com, or by calling 720-913-0046.

Thursday is one of your last chances to see the Clyfford Still Unveiled exhibition before it closes up shop and moves to it’s new building west of the Hamilton in 2010. This Thursday, January 15th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm … Continue reading →

Thursday is one of your last chances to see the Clyfford Still Unveiled exhibition before it closes up shop and moves to it’s new building west of the Hamilton in 2010.

This Thursday, January 15th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm enjoy a cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres, and at 5:45 pm a building design update, exhibition walk through and all the conversation relating.

A leader among first-generation abstract expressionists, Clyfford Still is considered one of the most important painters of the twentieth century. But most of his work has not been seen by the public. Still’s estate—which includes 94 percent of his work—was sealed after his death in 1980.

This exhibition features thirteen paintings, including a 1940 self-portrait, several never-before-seen works on paper, and five 1940s and 1950s masterworks that show the evolution of Still’s mature, purely abstract style.

Head on over and get your fill, because it’ll be a little while until you’ll have another chance.
